When senior cat Sita started to withdraw from life, her mom, Jay, was worried she was ready to go.

In this animal communication true story, find out how animal communication helped Sita return to her playful, affectionate self in just one week.

When Jay scheduled Sita's session with me, she had three main questions for Sita:

  • What can we do to make you happy?
  • How would you like to play?
  • Are you in pain or discomfort?

Jay also let me know they had recently added a new rescue cat to the family - a much younger boy cat named Rama who came with his own trauma history in tow.

As always, before I joined Jay on Zoom, I spent about 15 minutes just quietly connecting with Sita, letting her decide if she wanted to talk with me, giving her a chance to get used to my energy, explaining that her mom wanted to talk with her and had asked me to assist.

It didn't take long for me to sense just how indrawn Sita truly was.

Yet, I was grateful that she was very willing to talk and impressed by how quickly she explained the two main reasons for her sudden change in behavior.

First, Sita drew my attention to a physical discomfort in her abdomen that appeared to be affecting not just her stomach and intestines but the surrounding tissues and structures as well.

Second, Sita shared a profound feeling of sadness, making it clear that this was the main cause for her increasingly indrawn behavior.

Sita also made it clear that she and boy cat Rama were a mismatch and that his neediness and forceful behavior around the house had left her feeling like she had no safe space of her own left to retreat to.

I also checked in briefly with Rama cat to explore that dynamic.

Rama made it clear he wanted and needed a playmate and Sita made it clear that she wasn't interested. So Jay and I were able to brainstorm options with Rama to meet his needs without having a negative impact on Sita.

As Jay and I continued on to talk through what Sita had to share and how best to address each concern, we decided on a multi-phased approach that included lymphatic drainage massage, acupuncture, and a referral to a trusted naturopath specialist to explore the subtleties of Sita's abdominal discomfort at a systemic level.

One week went by before I opened my inbox to find an update from Jay about Sita.

The naturopath had indeed confirmed pain in Sita's abdominal area and they had begun the process of addressing that with homeopathy, acupuncture and other helps.

Jay and Sita had also shared a powerful experience of mutual emotional release, where Jay was able to tune in to Sita's sadness and share empathy through a release of healing tears.

And she and Sita had partnered together to set some new boundaries for Rama, who was still in his own process of releasing past trauma and settling in to his new forever home.

(NOTE: Jay also shared her intention to schedule a separate session for Rama so we can explore his needs around trauma release and trust more fully.)

Jay wrote, "with homeopathic medicine and acupuncture, we got our high energy Sita back. We're so thankful for you."

Animal communication doesn't always produce such dramatic transformations so quickly, but in this case, it proved potentially life-saving for Sita.

Where mom Jay had been considering whether Sita was ready to transition, we were able to achieve a radical personality shift in just a handful of days as Sita felt seen, heard, empathized with and loved back to life again.
